Why should you visit Sardinia?

Sardinia is an island famous for its long sandy beaches, clear water, pretty holiday villages and Italian flair. The island is the perfect hotspot for your summer holiday. It doesn’t matter if you are a sun worshipper or a sports fanatic, you are sure to love Sardinia.

Sardinia is characterised by a particularly mild climate and has all the advantages of the Mediterranean climate. However, it is also important to know that, especially in May, the climate can be surprising and the weather can sometimes change quickly. For this reason, at this time of year, you should choose your holiday destination and hotel with particular care and prefer places with alternatives to the beach.

In order to enjoy your vacation in Sardinia completely, you should have an accommodation with a breathtaking sea view, for example a modern villa offered by Villas Guide. Few things in the world are able to satisfy your soul like a view of the intense blue and a golden beach. Even better if it is in Sardinia.

What can you do in Sardinia?

Sardinia is famous for its beautiful, almost Caribbean beaches. With so many options, it is almost impossible to pick one, but there is one special place that stands out: La Pelosa. This breathtaking beach has wide, white sand that is surrounded by greenery and the turquoise sea that all form a perfect contrast and a wonderful image.

There is also the charming town of Bosa on the island with its many colourful houses, narrow streets and lovely details. Another special place is Capo Caccia with its steep slopes. If you dare, you can climb down the ‘Escala des Cabirol’ stairs along the steep rocks towards the sea and the Neptune’s Grotto. There is also a cave, where, if you are lucky, you can spot dolphins and monk seals.

What beaches to choose in Sardinia?

The beaches in the south of Sardinia are simply breathtaking: for example, you can find the dream beach Tuerredda here. A bathing and holiday paradise is the area around the popular town of Villasimius with its wide sandy beaches and small rocky coves. Also fantastic is the beach Spiaggia delle Dune of Porto Pino: a powder-sugar beach with azure sea and dunes, between which lies the lagoon lake Is Brebeis, where you can spot flamingos.

Then there are many more: Punta Molentis, Santa Margherita di Pula, Costa Rei etc. Come and explore by yourself! While exploring, you will definitely need a place to stay. You can get a unique vacation experience by renting a villa on the beach, from where you can enjoy an extraordinary view of the sea and reach the wonderful clear turquoise water in minutes.

When should you visit Sardinia?

The perfect time for your Sardinia vacation depends on the type of holiday that you want to have. If you are planning an active vacation, the best time to travel are the spring months of April, May and June, and late summer, i.e. end of August and September. These months are ideal for a round trip. If you are planning a seaside holiday, July and August are the months for you. The temperatures are very hot, and the sea water is also at the perfect temperature for bathing.

If you want to combine everything, choose June or September. The sea is pleasantly warm, but the outside temperature is not too hot, so that you can also go on hiking tours or look at cultural places in peace and quiet. Whatever time you choose, you will most definitely fall in love with Sardinia.
