Spice up your meals with Schwartz Classic Chip Seasoning

I’m often in a bit of a rush to get dinner on the table. I run a business, write for two blogs, have a self employed husband who works long hours (and really can’t cook) and a crazy toddler. I can’t always spend hours in the kitchen preparing dinner, but I still want to create tasty meals that broaden my two year old’s taste buds as well as satisfying my husband and I. Enter Schwartz!

Schwartz is a well known household name – established way back in 1889 but entering the British market in 1959 – and I’ve tried many of their seasonings and spice mixes over the years with great success. Schwartz asked me to try something that was new to me – Schwartz’s Classic Chip Seasoning.

There’s not really any need for a recipe here, because you can just sprinkle the chip seasoning on your chips or potatoes of any kind to give them a nice kick. I cook my chips in the air fryer from frozen (no time for peeling spuds if I don’t have to!) and it was incredibly easy to just sprinkle some Schwartz Classic Chip Seasoning on my chips and give them a good toss to mix it in. You can also add it after they’re cooked as a light topping. I highly recommend an air fryer to anyone who cooks chips regularly as it makes them crispy and healthy, using no extra oil at all.

Schwartz Chip Seasoning contains a blend of paprika, onion and garlic, giving a delicate but distinct flavour that isn’t overwhelming or hot – ideal for all the family. I served my seasoned chips with fresh fish (tuna for me, cod for my husband, fish fingers for the toddler), bacon wrapped asparagus tips and chopped sweet peppers. Absolutely delicious and healthy too!

This seasoning would add some great spice to a great deal of dishes, from vegetables to meat to pasta dishes. I think it would go especially well in a bolognese or on roasted winter vegetables. You could even add it to a pork chop or chicken breast as a rub. In the summer I’m definitely going to be popping this on my meat before it goes on the BBQ!

I love the fact that this is something that can make my fast and easy dinners full of flavour with very little effort on my part. The fact it’s so versatile makes it a great addition to any family cupboard.

You can buy Schwartz Classic Chip Seasoning at Tesco. It gets a big thumbs up from the whole family here, so I highly recommend adding it to your spice rack.

Yummy, those chips look ace! Brian will only eat plain stuff but I suppose it would be easy enough to do some for him and some for us. I’m so tired of chicken nuggets and chips!!

Aw it’s frustrating when we cook a yummy dinner and they just want chicken nuggets isn’t it! I’m quite lucky because William loves things with a lot of flavour but he also has to have ketchup with everything.
