Review – A bouquet from 123 Flowers

Today a bouquet arrived for me, delivered by 123 Flowers, an online florist that offers UK wide next day delivery. I was asked to review their flowers and their service. I’ve been having a bit of a tough week with both me and the baby having a cold, so it was a really nice pick me up to receive a bouquet from 123 Flowers. Personally, fresh flowers really brighten up my day and if I could, I’d always have some fresh flowers in the vase next to me as I work as well as some on the dinner table. The advantage of buying from a florist is that you get a high quality bouquet that’s been picked, cut and stored well – maximizing the lifespan of the flower as well as making a very attractive bouquet.

A bouquet of flowers makes an absolutely perfect gift for a birthday, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, anniversary, Mother’s Day, engagement announcement, baby shower or newborn baby celebration. You might feel apprehensive about buying online though, as you can’t see what you’re buying and it’s crucially important that your flowers arrive in good condition – that’s why I’ve written this review to share my personal thoughts on the experience.

123 Flowers have an excellent range of flowers with prices starting around the £22 mark and I was pretty impressed to find out you can order up to 7pm for free delivery, or 10pm for delivery next day! I have no idea how they get flowers across the country so fast but you definitely know they’ll be fresh. This covers you if you forget a special occasion, or if it comes as an unexpected surprise and it’s nice to know the price you see is what you pay, no cumbersome delivery costs as basic delivery is free.

The bouquet that I ordered from 123 Flowers was a girly selection of pinks and whites that would suit any feminine occasion. It contained chrysanthemums and germinis with alstroemeria, carnations, and pistacia to make a lovely delicate, elegant, pink and white display. My flowers were delivered extremely securely in a large upright box which was covered in a floral design as well so even the packaging was attractive! They come with a free pop up vase, but you can add a glass vase and/or teddy for a little extra.

I use my own vases personally as I have quite a lot, but as a gift it’s always nice to know your recipient can unpack them straight into a vase and it makes the gift extra special as the vase or teddy you send with it will be able to be used time and time again. The stems came in what I can only describe as a “flower nappy” (perhaps I’ve spent too much time with the baby…) which kept the stems moist during transport without any risk of spilling water. Very efficient! Flower food and a care guide was also provided.

I’m very pleased with this bouquet and would be quite happy to order from 123 Flowers in the future. This will be ideal for my mum’s birthday in November, she’s partial to lilies and I noticed plenty of options there. Let me know in the comments what your favourite flower is!

Note: I was provided with this bouquet of flowers free of charge, delivered by 123 Flowers. I was not financially compensated in any way. This has not affected my opinion. Minor details regarding price and delivery updated September 2019.

Thank you! I’m not usually a pink person but when it comes to flowers it is a lovely colour.

Flowers are a lovely gift although I prefer potted because they last longer.

Hi Isabella. Yes I love potted plants as a gift too, although these flowers have lasted over a week now and are still doing very well. My favourite are orchids, everything else I have a tendency to kill!
