Mother’s Day Gift Guide 2022

Mother’s Day 2022 is fast approaching, it’s on March 27th this year. With all the restrictions of the last few years lifted, this is a year to celebrate and embrace the family we have. Mother’s Day has always meant a lot to me so this year I’ll be going out for a meal with my Mother, who I’m gifting a beautiful photo locket, and of course my husband and son. Time spent together is the very best gift anyone can share in my opinion, but it is nice of course to give them a wonderful gift and watch them smile, be happy and enjoy themselves. Here are my suggestions for Mother’s Day Gifts for 2022.

Coffee Maker and Coffee

Everyone needs coffee. It’s just a fact. I’ve had the De’Longhi Magnifica Bean to Cup Espresso and Cappuccino Machine for two years now and I absolutely love it. Mum’s need their coffee! It’s used every single day. Although this is a big buy as a gift, it’s worth the money for any coffee lover and it remains one of the highest reviewed coffee makers on Amazon, so it’s not just me who thinks so!

And I’m recommended Black Insomnia Coffee. It’s the World’s Strongest coffee so it’s going to keep mum going all day long and a yummy, full roasted taste. It’s available in a variety of different options and sizes, whether you need full beans or filtered.

Mama Bear Mug

Of course Mama Bear needs a mug for that coffee! I absolutely adore this mug from Manta Makes. It’s 10oz, packed in a specially made custom box, microwave and dishwasher safe, and has an adorable illustration of a mama bear and her cub. I want it, no, I need it! This would pair wonderfully with a tea or coffee gift as well.

Gifts for the mum who loves to cook

If your mum loves to cook, Cook Serve Enjoy have a massive range of cookware, bakeware, dining, drinkware and more, so you’re bound to find the perfect gift. I’m showcasing the Masterclass Casserole dish which can be used on the hob or in the oven to create yummy casseroles. The quality is superb and this is a gift that will be used time and time again for decades.

Any mum who likes to cook in the kitchen will appreciate this beautiful, well thought out and practical Indian Spice Tin from Spice Kitchen – a mother and son led independent business. The tin itself is extremely practical, and the spices inside the tin come in sealed packets, inside smaller tins that the spices can be put into once you open them. The clear lid will make it easy to see what spices you have and what you’re low on and you could refill with different spices once you’ve used these. It comes in a silk sari gift wrap which is a really special touch, and has recipe guide too.

If a drinks gift is more suitable for your mother then I highly recommend this Ceramic Pitcher from Sous Chef. Pictured is the aquamarine, but it comes in other colours too. It has matching kitchenware and dinnerware so you could start building a whole set. I love the idea of giving a set piece by piece as gifts, building up something that will have a lot of memories attached. A pitcher has a ton of uses, whether it’s a picnic or BBQ in the summer with some refreshing cordial, or a girl’s night in with a vodka cocktail.

Beautiful Jewelry

Jewelry is always a timeless classic gift. This beautiful pearl heart pendant from MYRI came in a stunning gift box and packaging. On the rear of the pendant is my mum’s name, but it can be personalized with any date or initials. MYRI sell a wide range of styles of personalised and engraved jewellery, so if this one isn’t quite to your mother’s taste, I’m sure you’ll find one that is.

The Gift of Sleep

Give the gift of sleep with the End of Day Candle by Echor. Echor is an award-winning independent sleep brand who launched during lockdown. These science-backed products such as this candle, or their pillow mist, are vegan, cruelty free and eco-friendly. They even plant a tree for every order. Couple this candle with the gift of a rechargeable USB candle lighter, stylish, safe, and environmentally friendly.

ARRAN Sense of Scotland are a family run business that create vibrant and evocative scents, inspired by, and made on the Isle of Arran. They have candles, fragrances and delightful gift sets, but I personally love this After The Rain Reed Diffuser. It’s absolutely massive and smells amazing. It fills the whole room with a wonderful fresh scent and would be an ideal gift for Mother’s Day.

A bit of pampering never goes amiss too. I find magnesium really helps my muscles at the end of a long day, and hot water is proven to relax the body. Combine the two and BetterYou have the perfect product – Magnesium bath soak flakes, available in Relax, Revive and Mind. They’re dermatologically tested, natural magnesium chloride, certified vegan friendly and palm oil derivative free. You can buy all three as a gift together and I know I’d love to receive them.

Beautiful Stationary

Journaling and planning can help to keep your life more organized, and help with mental health too. I love the 6 minute diary which is a simple science-based gratitude journal that is recommended by psychologists and therapists all around the world. It helps you focus on the good things in life and keep a positive mindset. It’s available in lots of different colours too.

A good quality pen will really brighten up her day as well. This pen is from Campo Marzio, who have been designing and producing elegant, colourful, fashionable pens since they were founded in Rome in 1933. It’ll definitely compliment a journal or diary, or be a good standalone gift, ready to be used when anything needs to be written or signed.

If you’re shaking your head at every item on this gift guide because nothing quite suits your mum, then you could also consider a VEX gift card for your mum. Sometimes a gift card is the best type of gift – especially if your mum loves shopping! VEX Gift cards from Voucher Express can be redeemed from around 150 brands, so she’s bound to find the perfect gift. You could combine a shopping trip with her with a lovely lunch out or afternoon tea, and give the gift of spending time together.

I hope this Mother’s Day Gift Guide has inspired you with some ideas, whether you’re buying for a partner, your own mum, or even a cheeky treat for yourself. Go on, you definitely deserve it!
