Mother’s Day is fast approaching on March 22nd. It will be my third Mother’s Day and it remains a very special day to me. As someone who struggled with fertility, Mother’s Day was always very difficult to me before I had my son as it was an annual reminder of what I didn’t have. That makes it extra special to me now as I know how fortunate I am to finally have the family I always wanted and I love to spend the day with my family (including my own mum) and celebrate. Becoming a parent has definitely made me appreciate the work and sacrifices my own mum made whilst raising me too and makes our relationship stronger.
