Another Must-Have Free App!
You might know from my previous post, 5 FREE Must-Have Apps for Parenting, that I’m a big fan of using my phone to the utmost and using lots of Apps to enhance my daily life. Since writing this post I’ve discovered another new App that I’m a big fan of – it’s called Lifecake.
Lifecake allows you to upload photos and share with family members you’ve given permissions to, creating a timeline of photos with your own personal privacy settings. It also allows you to chat to the people connected and it’s a really easy way to save and share family photos. It’s very easy to use and any family member should be able to access it and see the photos, no matter what their technological proficiency.
Download on iTunes (iOS)
Download on Android (Play Store)
If you sign up and use code welshmumofone you’ll receive 10GB photo storage completely free and you’ll get 25% off your first print order if you decide to order something.
Gorgeous Prints
What also gives it a really unique factor is that once you’ve uploaded your photo, you can simply click the shopping trolley icon and you’ll be taken to their print store for some beautiful personalised photo gifts. No faffing around with extra uploads or software, you can have something ordered in minutes.
Here you can buy:
- Prints
- Phone Cases
- Tote Bags
- Posters
- Polaroid Prints
- Fridge Magnets
- Polaroid Books
- Mugs
- Invitations
- Calendars
Lifecake offered me the opportunity to try something out to review, and I chose a set of 9 Fridge Magnets and 12 Square Prints. I’m going to arrange these in a photo frame for my mother for Christmas ( the only grandchild, so she’s quite in love with photos right now!) I really think that photo prints and items make fantastic personalised gifts and with Christmas coming up even more so.
Fridge Magnets and Prints
The set of 9 Fridge Magnets was £18 so that’s just £2 a magnet, and the 12 prints were £8. You can edit each photo to make sure it’s the right size and focus as well as add filters, and you can have any combination of different photos or multiples of the same photo if you’re giving them out as gifts. As I was doing this, I was thinking to myself how lovely a fridge magnet would have been as a wedding favour – a photo of the happy couple and the date would have been awesome! It would also make a lovely birth memento, with a day one photo and date of birth. There’s definitely a lot of scope for how these could be used.
It was easy to check out on the app, and my goodies arrived well packaged in x days time.
Here are the final products:
For a gift idea, I bought two boxed frames for the prints. The prints are Instagram style, 4×4″ which means you can get some lovely frames to display them in a collage. I bought these simple 12×12″ frames to display them. One for my mum for Christmas and one for myself!
I’m really happy with the print quality here – bright colours, glossy finish and a perfect print. Of course, I am a little in love with the model so excuse my bias there! Lifecake is simply a lovely way to save and share photos, whether you’re just using the free App, or decide to go for that special gift, it’s well worth trying it out. Remember, if you sign up and use code welshmumofone you’ll receive 10GB photo storage completely free and you’ll get 25% off your first print order if you decide to order a photo print product.
Note: Lifecake provided me with the above items for review and asked me to share my honest opinion. I was not otherwise compensated for this post and I do not benefit from you using my discount code – the bonus is purely for you!

I love anything personalised and I love to give them as gifts as I think they add a really nice touch to any present! 🙂

This sounds like such a great idea. Personalised gifts are so special x #TriedTested
Lovely photos. This app looks good, I share photos with Tinybeans but you can’t get prints with it so this seems good for gifts.
Thanks for sharing your review on #TriedTested this week x
