Brecon Beacons

Another beautiful National Park is the Brecon Beacons, which is considered to be one of the most stunning regions in the country. This is a walker’s paradise and is bordered by mountains: To the west – the mountains are the source of the River Usk and to the east, the black mountains are famed for wild ponies.

The majestic mountains in the Brecon Beacons stand at over 1,000 and even 2,000ft high and take your breath away… making visitors feel pretty small and insignificant as they look on.

After taking in the mountains, there are numerous caves and waterfalls to enjoy – particularly Coelbren’s Henrhyd Falls. If you venture outside the park, then you can even take a tour of the Big Pit National Coal Museum.
