Easter Gift Guide

It’s almost Easter and I have some Easter gift ideas for you. From delicious chocolate and sweet treats for the whole family, to gifts for those who don’t want to give food, with a focus on getting the family outdoors as well. This year in 2023 Easter Sunday falls on Sunday 9th April, and as always it’s an extra long weekend for those of us in the UK, with both the previous Friday and Monday being bank holidays, yay!

I’ve also got a couple of competitions for you to win awesome prizes, including a Hotel Chocolat Easter Sleekster Chocolate Gift Box, an Easter Rabbit Lego set, and LittleLife Bee Toddler Backpack with Reins!

Food & Drink Gifts

Easter Hamper from Hampers.com

The ultimate luxury Easter gift would have to be this Easter Family Sharing Hamper which comes with a selection of goodies including chocolates, biscuits, meringue, tea, sparkling elderflower and a super fun jar of Easter cookie mix so the family can bake some cookies together! It comes in a wicker basket that can be reused time and time again. If this doesn’t suit then Hampers.com have a wide variety of hampers, with a selection of different Easter Gifts as well as hampers for all occasions.

Hotel Chocolat Easter Sleekster

Hotel Chocolat is one of my favourite brands. I’m really happy this year that the Hotel Chocolat Easter Sleekster – which has adorable eggs in 8 different flavours is gluten free (although it does have a may contain). If you fancy winning yourself one of these, scroll down to the bottom and check out my prizes!

Do the Cadbury Gift’s Easter Challenge!

This year Cadbury Gifts Direct have an Easter Challenge. Create an Easter themed design with Cadbury’s chocolate, send in a photo and you’ve got a chance to win a Mini Eggs Super Basket! And to help you win (and to make an amazing Easter Gift) they’ve got this Easter Challenge Box full of delicious chocolate.

Bryn the Dragon Egg from Wickedly Welsh

I love supporting a Welsh independent business, so I’m very happy to introduce you to Wickedly Welsh Chocolate. They offer a variety of chocolate goodies, but my favourite pick for Easter has to be Bryn the Dragon Egg. It looks like a normal egg on the outside, but inside is a tiny dragon! Such fun for the kids (or adults) to discover. Their Easter collection also includes goodies such as Hot Cross Bun bars, Lovespoons, gift boxes and hampers.

Happy Easter Sweets from Etsy

If you like sweets as a gift then there are quite a few options available on Etsy, which supports independent small makers and businesses. Just search for Easter sweets and you’ll see plenty of options. I love this one, complete with carrots and flowers for that Easter and Spring feel.

Delicious Bottle of Wine

If you’re having a family meal for Easter than accompany it with a perfect bottle of wine, like this bottle of Le Morette Benedictus 2019 | Lugana DOC, a signature dry white wine from the Lake Garda region. It has a sweet tone and will a wide variety of meats. If that doesn’t suit, Independent Wine has a wide range of all sorts of wines.

Backpack Picnic Set

With Spring here it’s time to start loving eating outside again. A wonderful way to enjoy an Easter afternoon is to have a picnic, whether at a local park or at an attraction on a day out, or even just in the garden. A 4 Person Picnic Backpack like this wonderful Geo Grey design from VonHaus makes it easy to eat out anywhere, and also to carry lunch places and keep it cool as the inside is insulated like a cool bag. It also comes with a picnic blanket so really has everything you need for an amazing meal.

Eco Rascals Bamboo Plate

Young children will love the gift of this Eco Rascals Bamboo Plate – particularly suited to Easter as it’s in the shape of an adorable rabbit! It’s a great plate for those who have advanced past suction copes, but isn’t breakable like china or glass, and isn’t made of plastic.

Get the kids enjoying the outdoors

Spring can be a great time to invest in some outdoor toys as the weather starts to get nicer. This can improve the physical fitness and the mental health of the whole family – shake off the cobwebs and have some fun! I have a few outdoor activities I want to share with you.

First is a new scooter. Stunt scooters in particular can stimulate the kids and get them to accompany you on walks, like this Dominator Cadet from skates.co.uk – who also sell fun things like skateboards and roller-skates.

Make the most of the garden with a badminton racket and net set from Badminton HQ. Badminton is ideal for the garden or for a small space because it doesn’t need as much space as something like tennis, and doesn’t need a permanent setup like basketball. It’s also quite easy to get to grips with for kids, and fun for kids to play with adults as well. This Badminton racket and net set comes with 4 rackets, a portable net, and a bundle of shuttlecocks, all in an easy carry case, so you can set it up at any park or garden! Perfect.

Comfortable and Durable shoes from Start Rite

Start Rite have been my choice of school shoe for years, but did you know they also offer a range of canvas shoes and casual leather shoes like the blue Enigma above? The quality is amazing – so durable, but also stylish and of course the most important, comfortable! My son has quite big feet for his age, and takes a wide fit, so I love the options that are available from narrow to wide to find the right fit for kids to run around in. I think Spring is a great time to look at buying a new pair of shoes – the weather is drying up, they’re getting outside more, and odds are last years shoes are starting to pinch. I much prefer shoe shopping online, so much less stress and if they don’t fit, the returns process is super easy.

Safety and Style Outdoors

Be safe and have fun outdoors with your little ones with LittleLife. LittleLife makes a range of cute backpacks, like the one above, which is a Bee Toddler Backpack with Reins. When William was younger I always used a set of reins on him – I certainly couldn’t run after him fast enough and he loved running. Having a backpack makes your kids feel older as well as being practical as you can pop in a snack or drink for them, and the reins add safety. Once they’ve old enough you can simply stop using the reins. I’ve got one for you to win at the end of the post!

Easter Rabbit Lego

Last but not least, this Lego set is an adorable bunny, carrot and flower, so ideal for Easter. But it can also be a parrot or a seal and fish, so it has some great replayability and longevity. It’s aimed at 8+ but if you have younger kids then you can sit with them and build it, as I often build 8+ sets with my five year old, which makes it fun for all the family. It’s less than £20 on Amazon! But if you’d like a chance to win your own set without spending a penny, let’s get on with the competitions!
