I’ve got some amazing new brands and gifts to share this year for Christmas 2023. The man in your life, whether that’s a friend, romantic partner or family member, is absolutely guaranteed to love something in this guide.

Food and Drink
I love giving food and drink gifts for Christmas because these are items that are usable and won’t take up space, but items that help people make food like appliances are also an amazing gift – and one they will use very frequently! Here are my recommended Food and Drink gifts for the man in your life for Christmas 2023.
The perfect Waffle Maker
I have a lot of VonShef kitchen appliances in my kitchen now. I’ve been using them for 5 years, so I’m really happy to recommend them. They’re affordable, but extremely high quality. This VonShef Dual Round Waffle Maker will make perfect round waffles in 4 segments. It’s super super easy to use, just pop your waffle recipe in and press. Waffles in 5 minutes! I’m gluten free and this is also perfect for gluten free waffles, tried and tested.
The most amazing coffee
We are a big fan of Two Chimps coffee in this house and have it on subscription, which can be gifted. They also do bags of coffee you can buy as a one off, or like the photo above, gift sets with a range of coffees to try. This is a great way to explore the range. We get whole beans to use with our De’Longhi Bean to Cup Espresso and Cappuccino maker (highly recommended!) and the beans are always so fresh, the smell is absolutely amazing as soon as you open the bag, and the taste so full of flavour. The coffee comes in six different grind sizes, from whole beans to different sizes specifically designed to work best with devices like a filter machine, a cafetiere or the Aeropress. A nice bottle of red
For anyone who enjoys red wine, I highly recommend this bottle of Errazuriz Max Carmenere 2020, available at Tesco for £13. This Chilean red goes through 12 months of French oak ageing to give it a rich dark fruit flavour with a spicy aroma. It’s so smooth so it’s ideal for people who don’t usually drink red wine as well – perfect for opening at the dinner table, or enjoying a glass after dinner. I’d say it’s perfect for lamb or beef, but really would be enjoyable with anything.
A spicy tipple
Hensol Castle Distillery is located just outside Cardiff, so very local. I love supporting local suppliers, so having such an awesome distillery close by is great. Hensol Castle Distillery make a variety of gin and rum products and you can even visit the distillery for a Gin making experience, Masterclass or Tour. This Christmas I want to introduce Judge Jenkins Spiced Rum (also available in Maraschino Cherry flavour). This spaced rum has luxury dark chocolate and toffee flavours, and the spice is really warm – with cinnamon, vanilla, orange zest, black peppercorn and spiced berries. It’s a very mellow, full bodied flavour and is ideal for drinking solo or mixing up a delicious Christmas cocktail. If you’re looking for a gin, I highly recommend their Blood Orange Zest Gin which is one of my absolute favourite gin’s, but Hensol Distillery also offer mini trio’s so you can sample them all!
The Hangry Box
The Hangry Box is Pub Snacks in a novelty gift box, including a selection of crisps, nuts and pork scratchings. Ideal for any man who always comes back with a random pub snack whenever he gets a pint! I’d like to recommend some of the best funny social games for 2023. These games are really simple to play and I can guarantee anyone over 18 will be having a laugh within minutes. No complex rule systems, just have fun with your friends using meme’s, jokes and your imagination! Social party games are really trending right now. In a post-covid world we’ve learned to have friends over and socialise in small spaces rather than going to the pub. But talking about the pub, these games are so compact they could easily go to the pub with you!

An adult party game for meme-lovers, What do you meme? is available from Smyths as well as other retailers. Simple concept, with tons of potential, anyone 18+ can start having fun with this without any explaining of the rules. A meme card is drawn and you use your cards to make the funniest caption for it. Joking Hazard
Joking Hazard is an offensive card game from Cyanide & Happiness. You match you cards together to create the funniest (or most offensive!) mini comic strip possible. Since I started using Helly Hansen clothing I’ve been very impressed. For a cold winter check out these All Mountain Gloves. They’d make the perfect gift for him and they come in 4 sizes which I really appreciate. It can be hard to find gloves for a smaller or larger hand. They have a Polyester waterproof shell and a durable leather lining. They’re ideal for camping and hiking, skiing, mountaineering, trekking or just walking the dog with the family! Warm, comfortable and great quality.
Men’s Squall Hooded Jacket from Land’s End
My husband’s favourite brand is Land’s End so he was delighted when I gifted him the Men’s Squall Hooded Jacket. This is a lightweight jacket but waterproof and windproof, with a light fleece lining for warmth, and reflective piping on the rear for safety, which I love. This is a really warm jacket without being bulky or heavy and my husband says it’s honestly the best coat he’s ever owned! This would make an amazing Christmas gift, but if it doesn’t quite suit, I can attest to the quality of the brand and you’ll find a wide range of jackets, shoes and clothing over on Land’s End.
