A Personalised Mug and the Tea to go with it!

I don’t know about you, but I always start my day with a good cup of English Breakfast tea. In particular, I favour a strong brew (also known as builder’s tea!) such as Glengettie. I drink a lot of hot drinks during the day and often finish with a herbal tea to set me up for a good night’s sleep, or a decadent hot chocolate in the colder months. My tea of the month right now is TeaPigs Redbush and Honey – a naturally caffeine free tea that is light and sweet, perfect for a cold day or evening, especially if you’ve got the infamous winter sniffles.

Of course to go with a good cup of tea you need a mug. In fact, it’s rather helpful if you have the mug first. For a winter warmer, I want a strong, sturdy mug that’s bright and cheerful to start the day. I also need something quite solid as I’m very clumsy. When I saw the opportunity to review a mug on Brinley Williams, I immediately had a look at their site and realized they had a ton of mugs that would be perfect for my family. Brinley Williams are located in Newport and I really like supporting Welsh companies too.

What’s great about these mugs is that they are personalised! This is perfect for a treat for yourself, a personalised mug that will get people talking at the office, something special to serve to guests or a mug to put a smile on someone’s day. Personalised mugs also make excellent Christmas gifts for literally anyone and there’ll be more to come on that in December when I put together a fantastic personalised gift guide for all the family. Brinley Williams also sells quite a few other gifts, including personalised candles and T-shirts.

You can browse through over 180 designs on the personalised mug section of Brinley Williams – or you can simply make your own design. With mugs starting from £9.95 including the personalisation, I think it offers really excellent value.

I chose a lovely blue “royalty” design with space for your personal photo and text. There were 8 colours available and I could choose ceramic or bone china. The design is printed twice on front and back, so you can see it whether you’re left or right-handed! This is especially useful for us, as my husband is actually left handed and is often left looking at the blank side of his mug. I picked a photo of my son and his date of birth. The print is great quality. The colours pop, it’s really glossy, the resolution quality is perfect and the text easy to read. It took me about a minute to pick a photo and upload it and they took care of the rest, so it was incredibly easy to order… although there were so many mugs to choose from the hard part was definitely picking just one. It arrived well packaged in polystyrene.

I think this would make a lovely keep sake for any new mums like me, and I think I need to order another one as a Christmas Gift for my mum as she loved it so much. This is the exact design I chose. If you’re looking to give this as a gift, consider pairing it with the English Tea Shop Organic Collection – 72 tea bags of 9 different blends, packaged in a beautiful gift box. As for now, I guess it’s time to get munching these chocolate digestives!

Note: Brinley Williams provided me with a free mug to review and share my honest thoughts. No additional payment was received and my opinion is my own. This post contains Affiliate Amazon links, where I earn a few pennies if you click through and buy the tea I’ve recommended.

What hot drinks do you prefer? Do you have a tea brand or blend to recommend to me? Or dare I ask… what’s the best biscuit for dipping?

What a lovely mug design, that would make such a nice present, but I’m afraid we will have to fight over the choice of bisuits. Custard creams all the way!
