Mums spend their time looking after everyone else and always putting others first, so it’s nice at Christmas to let them sit back, relax for a moment and open a few presents. I’ve compiled this all inclusive gift guide with something to suit every mum out there, from food, to clothes, to kitchen gadgets and entertainment, there should be a little bit of something to suit all personalities. I hope this inspires you to buy something special for the mum in your life this Christmas.
A Christmas Gift Guide for Mum
Food
I always head to Thorntons for my Christmas chocolate purchases. If you have a shop near you, be prepared for an amazing selection, but there are always some great Christmas deals and offers on the website so it offers amazing value for money. I’ve bought Thorntons chocolates every year for about a decade now and I’ve never been disappointed.
Special offer: Free Christmas box (worth £10) when you spend £35 at Thorntons PLUS free delivery – Click this link and use code Freewys35 and there’s 3 for 2 on their Christmas gifts too! What’s better than one box of chocolate? Three boxes of chocolate!
Drinks
My personal recommendation is a bottle of Baileys, which does some amazing flavours now. I absolutely love the Bailey’s Chocolate Luxe which is a special edition. It’s a 50cl bottle so a very nice gifting size. It’s stocked in pretty much all supermarkets, but you can also get it delivered via Amazon Pantry, which is a really easy way of stocking up for Christmas!
Why not pair it with some special glasses from Getting Personal to serve out of as a wonderful gift? And I’ve got a great gift voucher to share with you there too, get 5% Off Everything – Use code SAVEFIVE.
Combined with the hot chocolate gifts below would be perfect as well – nothing like a Baileys hot chocolate on a cold Christmas evening!

Christmas Cafetiere
Both of these gifts would suit perfectly when paired with the above drinks as well. Let’s start with an amazing cafetiere from VonShef. Stylish and sleek, I can attest that it makes great filter coffee as I’ve been using it for breakfast every day this month! It’s really easy to use even for someone who is used to making instant coffee. It’s dishwasher safe so easy to clean and makes up to four mugs of coffee. You get a free extended 2 year warranty as well!
A set of mugs, bowls and plates
Next up, I’d recommend a beautiful mug set as a Christmas gift for mum. I personally love this Puhlmann Set of 4 Season Mugs. You can bring one out with the change of seasons. The patterns are colourful and fun, and you can buy matching bowls and plates for that really special seasonal set.
Jewellery
I don’t think I have to give much in way of an introduction for jewellery. Here are some of my favourite picks from this years catalogue that I think will appeal to a wide variety of women, just to start you off with some ideas!
B Catcher Cubic Zirconia Earrings
If none of those suit the style of the woman you’re buying for – we’re all unique at the end of the day! – have a browse through the thousands of beautiful pieces available. I have no doubt you will find the perfect item for her and if you want, do share it in the comments as I’d love to get more inspiration and see what others are buying too.
Entertainment
Check out these 20 family Christmas movies – I’m pretty sure you can find something for mum on there!
Pamper
Finally I’m going to talk about giving the woman in your life a little bit of pampering. Every mum, no matter how old their kids are, needs a little bit of me time, a little bit of luxury and love. I’ve bought Bomb Cosmetics Santa Says Relax bath bomb gift set for my mum, as she loves a good long soak in the bath, but they also have Naughty or Nice and All The Jingle Ladies to choose from. It comes in a printed hessian sack which makes for very unique and festive gift packaging and having tried a lot of bath bombs in my life, I can thoroughly recommend Bomb Cosmetics for their fizz and fragrance. Ridiculously good value too! I really hope my mum doesn’t read this post though!
Talking of great value, I’ve also bought this Dove Classic Beauty Women’s Gift Set – it comes with shampoo, conditioner, two types of body wash, body lotion, body bar and a shower puff, all packaged up as a set ready to be wrapped and gifted for Christmas. A great little side gift or stocking filler!
But if you want something luxurious as a main gift, then how amazing is this Winter in Venice Gift Set? It comes with a selection of luxury bath toiletries, potpourri, quality wooden nail brush and body massager, a pair of comfortable slippers and a face towel and is packaged in a beautiful wooden bowl which can be re-used either in the bathroom for toiletries, or in the kitchen as a fruit bowl, or anywhere really!
I hope that this Christmas Gift Guide for Mum has helped you find something for the woman you’re shopping for, whether that’s your own mother or the mother of your children. If you’re a mum like me who likes reading gift guides, forward this to your husband or kids as a little hint! Let me know what your favourite thing was in the comments.
Note: I was gifted some of these items for consideration in this gift guide, whilst other links might be affiliate links. All are my personal recommendations.
